SourceTally resolves one commit through GitHub’s REST API, then streams raw text files directly from GitHub. Private repositories and tokens are not supported.

Exclusions

Dependencies, build output, caches, minified files and source maps are excluded by default.

SourceTally counts physical text lines. It does not claim logical SLOC, code/comment classification, quality, complexity, effort, productivity, security, licence status, dependency health, or Git-history size.
